This jacket is considered “everyday waterproof,” which means although it's not  a genuine 100% waterproof which is a specialised fabric and making of a jacket such as storm flap zips, complete fastening at the neckline etc) the outer fabric it is protective enough to not have water come through for most everyday situations, such as being out in rain or snow.

We love this jacket that has an outer fabric that repels the water, keeps you warm and snug for the winter. Water can get in where your head goes in, the cuffs of this jacket are fabric knit so this will get damp, the outer fabric however repels water coming in under most circumstances.
